About Heather Wright, MA
I was born and raised in Kansas. I studied at Kansas State University and the University at Kansas from 1982-1990, receiving my BA in Anthropology from KU in 1990 and I received my MA from the University of Wyoming in 2002 in American Studies. I worked as a professional archaeologist from 1988-2002.
I trained in the modalities that helped me recover from a career ending auto accident when I was an archeologist in Wyoming.

I am a Certified Advanced Rolfer, and Certified Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist, trained at the Dr. Ida Rolf Institute. I am a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and trained at Somatic Experiencing International. I have studied with Bob Schrei since 2009 and am a SourcePoint Therapist. I am an authorized meditation instructor, and have studied Buddhist meditation formally since 1986, sometimes spending up to six months out of the year in month long silent retreats. I staffed the Maitri Space Awareness program for Naropa University for several years. I have been studying trauma since meeting Dr. Bob Scaer in 2002. I have been studying with Ana do Valle since 2005 and was trained by her in her SEGAN model using The Safe and Sound Protocol.

I live in Wellington, Colorado with my husband Tom, who is also an archeologist.
